Orbita Commissions POP in Germany
Deployment
supports VSATs in the Middle East
RESTON – January 5, 2004 –
The Orbita Group announced today that its new POP at Intelsat’s teleport
facilities in Fuchsstadt, Germany have been commissioned to support ILD
operations in the Middle East. Orbita’s POP is connected to Intelsat’s 18m and
two 32m earth stations which provide it with a reach from L.America and eastern
N.America, to Europe, Africa and the M. East.

The current uplink on
I-901 connects the VSATs on the M. East to redundant Tier 1 Internet backhauls
to the US, providing end to end connectivity to Orbita’s POPs in NYC and Miami.
Orbita is a licensed ILD
carrier with licensed operations in L.America and Asia. Orbita provides support
functions for emerging carriers, such as outsourced billing, traffic and routing
management, global termination, VoIP operations and OSS.
